ABOUT US

Who We Support

Autism

We have a committed team of professionals equipped to provide flexible and creative solutions in aiding those with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Whilst conducting autism specific assessments we ensure that we understand who the individual is, how their condition affects them, as well as identifying their needs and wants, which allows us to provide person-centred support. We understand that everyone has different needs, therefore we strive to provide as much independence as possible in a secure environment. This includes a willingness to accept a level of risk that is acceptable, safe, and reasonable. We undertake formal training and development sessions on a regular basis to provide our support workers with theoretical knowledge of the diagnosis and to help them acquire the skills and needs required to manage individuals with autism.

Learning Disabilities

Our service’s core principle is to assist those with learning disabilities. Our team has the experience and expertise to respond to the various types and needs of people with Learning Disabilities. This is accomplished through professional development and training, as well as the learning of the necessary skills in this field. We support individuals with dignity, choice and respect and by using our unique person-centred plans, we enable them to develop and promote new life skills and increase independence throughout their period of support. We assist and encourage clients with household tasks, shopping, and money management, as well as accessing community resources such as leisure centres, museums and libraries, and pursuing their educational or employment goals.

Mental Health

With regards to mental health conditions, it is very important to get the right help and support as it greatly aids recuperation and further improves symptoms. At Assisted Living Care we help people with a variety of mental health difficulties, such as bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, personality disorders, depression, and anxiety. We promote healthy mental health and enable individuals to live as independently as possible by using person-centred recovery and strength-based support methods. Which is achieved by working in conjunction with a variety of agencies, statutory services, and other services. We can assist individuals at every step of the therapeutic care process, from mental health treatment and support to discharge from hospital under Community Treatment Orders and lifestyle support.
